Summer 2006 - Update
I ended up taking most of this year off completely; if you followed the info/updates on my eBay Me Page for gemographics, you'll see there's been some ups & downs and I really haven't been online or working on the computer much at all. The only "update" I've done here on the website is swapping out my chicky mascot - I finally went ahead and drew/colored my own - it's still based on Jen's original Birdie icon but now it's really all mine. Not sure if/when I'll be back to designing graphics full time, but you'll be the first to know! For now I'm doing more hands-on art, and you can view a gallery at my other site: gemgirlart.

* Hey! Where's MY super groovy logo!? Being a graphics designer you might expect me to have an eye popping gemographics.com logo of my own up there. Well here is why I don't ... (other than that cute lil chicky, I suppose ...) Number 1: I started out designing for my own eBay seller pages, and changed the designs often, depending on my mood - I GET BORED VERY EASILY! I finally figured out that designing for other people would give me the much needed creative outlet I was looking for. (and since then I have stuck with the same eBay designs for myself for MONTHS at a time! .wink.) Number 2: I wanted the focus of my business to be on the client's designs and not what fancy stuff I had on my own pages. Therefore my logo is just basic text, and my page layouts are minimal and clean. So if you were wondering, now ya know!
